The April 2010 issue of Duellanti magazine features episode number 7 of Pacific Standard Time, my monthly column on all-things-San Francisco. This time we explore the movie theaters of the City, from the artsy Embarcadero Cinemas to the wildly anarchic Red Vic, from the shabby but romantic Bridge (with its Midnight Mass screenings) to the super-funky (and alcohol infused) Sundance Kabuki, the HQ of the San Francisco International Film Festival (which is happening as we speak). Full disclosure: I spend an inordinate amount of time in dark rooms watching shadows projected onto a screen, living vicariously through the lives of thousands of other people. I am a bit of a vampire, feeding on the flicker... And San Francisco's cinematic offering is bloody rich.
