David Kushner has written an amazing profile of Raymond Kurtzweil for Rolling Stone magazine (issue 1072). Here's the summary: "Radical futurist Ray Kurzweil is rarely wrong — so you might want to listen to him when he says computers will take over the world in 2045." Here's a quote for you: "Kurtzweil's most ambitious plan is also his most personal. He plans to bring his dead father back to life. "Nanobots can extract some DNA from his grave site," he says. "Then they'll get memories from my brain and put it all together". Just, wow. I have translated his story for the Italian edition of Rolling Stone. Look for when the magazine reach the new stands in early April.
